HP Notebook 14-am011nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Yesterday i installed a new BIOS version (version F37) on my 14-am011nd notebook. After the BIOS install the extra SSD (120 GB) wasn't visible anymore.

I tried to go back to the old BIOS version (F22) but that isn't possible. How can i use the SSD again?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

You could try a BIOS Recovery and check if that helps

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it hasn't helped yet. When I perform a BIOS recovery, the BIOS version remains F37. If I want to install an older version using a USB stick, I get the message: BIOS Image file specified is not intended for this system.

I recommend you restore the BIOS defaults following the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

I restored the defaults, still the SSD disk stays invisible.
I noticed if i reset the CMOS i always got the message "The CMOS checksum is invalid" (before the actual reset).

Tried thos several times. Don't know if this is expected behaviour?

Thank you and best regards,

Marcel
