HP pavilon 15-cc502nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

My laptop: HP pavilon 15-cc502nw

SSD : HP 512GB M.2 SATA SSD S700 PRO

Motherboard: DAG71MB16D0 REV: D

I bought a SSD with the intention of having the system on it. I downloaded the media creation tool and then downloaded the system on a Pendrive, after that I formatted the HDD and installed the system on SSD using program previously installed on my Pendrive. After installation, the system returns to the installation menu instead of turning on. When I go into the bios and want to set up boot order to my SSD there is only my HDD.

I also tried to install it with my HDD disconnected with the same result( of course except that now also HDD was not visible)

I would be very thankful for any help.

Sorry for my not technical language, I'm new here so if you need more specific explanation I will do my best to explain it better 🙂

Thank you!!!

The simplest way to have done this would have been to clone the HDD to the SSD.

You are definitely  using the type of SSD that is compatible with your BIOS.

If you formatted it as an MBR volume instead of GPT volume, it will not be recognized by the BIOS.
