Hi everyone,
It s 1 week that "I'm fighting" with my laptop, unfortunately my primary disk is so slow ( old type 5400rpm) .
In accord to the hp manual ( max ssd installed with Intel CPU is 160 gb) I have bought an SSD 128gb, unfortunately after the installation of Windows 8 I have error Hard work 1 (301) and with F2 in system diagnostic, I do a check but start check and short set result not installed.
Some tips? Pls I need to work with us..
Thank u in advance.

Ciao,
I have installed from usb flashed, I tried both configuration mbr/ bios and gpt/ uefi, both windows 10 and 8.
I have done many tests, unfortunately I don't find solution.( I have updated also bios).
I have used also diskpart and GParted but after the installation the ssd it is not recognised, moreover also the hp utility diagnostic hard drive shows smart check and long dst not installed
Could be a sort of firmware that block communication between bios and ssd?
Thank you in advance.

@WAWood and @Huffer,

Anyway @WAWood could tell me the brand of ur ssd used on notebook dv6?
Thank you in advance.
Regars.

Probably would have been an Intel like this. Your laptop was made in the very early days of SSDs:

My SSD is a Kingston and it is 500GB, not 160GB. I bought one the same capacity as the original HDD to make cloning a breeze.
