My laptop came with a M.2 NVme 512 GB SSD,

Can I Upgrade this 512 Gb SSD to M.2 1 TB SSD?

I prefer Samsung Evo 970 M.2 Nvme SSD. Can I upgrade the SSD to 1 TB to my M.2 slot by removing the 512 GB SSD?

Thank you.

Hi:

You should be able to do that with no problem.

You may want to check out the newer Samsung 980 (not 980 Pro) NVMe SSD.

I believe it costs a bit less than the 970 does as well.

See chapter 5 of the service manual for the M.2 SSD removal and replacement procedure.
