HP Pavilion x360 - 11-ad022tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does my HP Pavilion x360 - 11-ad022tu laptop support m.2 ssd card upgrade? If yes, does it support nvme card or SATA m.2 card? Also, can I use both the hard drive as well as the SSD card alongside in this built?

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06040336

Chapter 1 indicates that it can support a SATA M.2 SSD but if you look at chapter 3, there are additional parts needed for the M.2 slot.

    924422-001 – Solid-state drive bracket
● 924423-001 – Solid-state drive rubber sleeve
● 928902-001 – Solid-state drive sponge

Since your notebook did not come with a M.2 SSD, most likely those parts will be missing from your notebook.

I think it will be a lot easier and cheaper to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.

The 2.5" SSD will perform just as well as a M.2 SATA SSD would.

Thank you for your response!

I understood what you say but I wanted to know if I can use m.2 card along with the mechanical HDD.

You're very welcome.

You should be able to as long as you remove Windows from the 2.5" hard drive.

If you don't, the notebook will always want to boot from the 2.5" drive.
