Hello, I want to increase the storage of my device which is HP Laptop - 15-gw0012la and currently has a 256Gb ssd "WESTER DIGITAL 256GB PC SN530 NVMe SSD (origin),I want to know if it is compatible to put a 512GB or 1TB, its motherboard is 87D1 38.28

Yes, what you want to do would be just fine.

 

Below is the link to the service manual.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

Chapter 1, page 2 indicates that HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in storage capacity and that is just what they offered, not the maximum capacity supported.

 

I'd go with a Crucial P3 1 TB PCIe Gen 3.0 NVMe SSD.
