Hey, all.

I was hoping to upgrade my internal HHD to an internal SSD. However, according to my service guide found here, an SSD upgrade is not possible for devices running Intel Pentium silver N5000 CPU, which I happen to have. Is this still the case? Or am  I missing something? If possible, can I get the specs required for the SSD?

Thanks!

Hi:

What the manual means is that there is no M.2 slot for a SATA M.2 SSD on the models with the Celeron or Pentium processors.

You can always replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

You're very welcome.

If you want a recommendation...go with the Sandisk SSD Ultra 3D 2.5" SSD, which currently has the best performance for the price.

This is the 500 GB model.
