SSD upgrade

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to install a SSD on laptop & it comes with M.2 slot. I am not sure which SSD my lappy supports may be Gen4 or some other. Can anyone help me with the list of SSD which I can install?

My lappy model is Hp du 2009tu

Hi:

 

HP only has the service manual for the older models on your notebook's support page.

 

HP 15s-du2000 Laptop PC series Manuals | HP® Customer Support

 

According to that manual, your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports both SATA and NVMe SSD's.

 

Your notebook's M.2 slot is PCIe x Gen 3. 

 

See the PCIe generation specs for your notebook's processor/chipset from Intel at the link below...

 

Intel Core i31005G1 Processor 4M Cache up to 3.40 GHz Product Specifications

 

This would be a good SSD to install...
