I have two questions; 1. I currently have a HP8570p. Can I upgrade the 500GB hard drive to 512GB SSD? According to the spec sheet, the maximum I can add is 256GB.

Secondly, is it possible to replace the current 1600 X 900 15.6-inch screen with a 17-inch FHD?

A1. You can replace 500GB HDD to 500GB or 1TB or 2TB 2.5" SATA 3 SSD such as  https://www.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/ct1000mx500ssd1

A2. No 17" is larger than 15.6 " it won't physically fit.

Regards.
