Hi:

I did find a much newer BIOS update (F.57).

Here are the info and exe file links to that version:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to have the SSD installed and clean install W10 on it by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the Micrsoft media creation tool from the link below:

Download Windows 10

If that doesn't work either, then it is possible that for some reason the SATA SSD you bought is not compatible with your notebook.

Sometimes that happens when you install a Crucial or Samsung 2.5" drive.

There's no reason that I can think of why it happens but it does.

First of all, thanks for the idea. I have already switched the notebook to WIN 11 (HDD) and wanted to equip the device with the SSD afterwards. However, I can't find a way to switch to SSD in the BIOS (F.11). Could a BIOS update help make the switch to SSD possible? Is there such an update for the notebook at all? Despite my research, I couldn't find anything about it.

p.s.: the SSD is an Intenso 2.5" SATA III from INTENSO

You're very welcome.

I doubt that a BIOS update will help but if you let me know what BIOS version is currently installed, I will see if there is a more recent one available.

The notebook should support a 2.5" SATA SSD, and it would be plug and play.

I tend to use Western Digital Blue SA510 SATA SSD's.

I've never had a problem with those on any of my HP and Dell desktop and notebook PC's.

Hello Paul,

after flashing the BIOS, I tried again to install the SSD (cloned HDD) instead of the previous HDD – and it worked. The notebook booted, and the hoped-for improved performance was immediately noticeable.
Thank you for your help.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

That is great news that updating the BIOS allowed the SSD to work.
