For more information, the new vs. old generation is the color that identifies the disc, I think it is more a marketing than something effective, but according to the color the discs are designed for certain jobs.

The younger generation 560 MB/s for reading speed 520 MB/s for write speed older generation read speed: 560 MB/s speed of writing: 530 MB/s Although new generation is less expensive than old generation, it writes at a somewhat slower pace.
