Could anybody tell me the PCI of the HP Pavilion 15-cs1857nd? I would like to upgrade my SSD ( SATA) with the C partiion on it but I am wondering if I could use a NVMe configuration or do I have to stick with SATA

@BertyB,

HP specs indicate your model has an Intel i5 8th gen processor.

According to your service manual (on pages 2-3), your notebook supports both M.2 SATA SSDs and NVMe SSDs.

There are many reputable M.2 NVMe SSDs on the market. Here are just a couple of examples.

And its definitely PCIe Gen 3.0. A Gen 4.0 will work and they are not much if any more expensive these days but will only run at Gen 3.0 speed in your laptop.

Thanks Tk. I can work it out now.

Thanks for your advice. I do think a PCIe 3.0 will do and apparently I have to stick with it.
