Hi, I own a Spectre x360 laptop and the space bar has developed a problem. I have to type on the left end to get a space; otherwise, my words run together. It takes forever to type anything. The laptop is out of warranty. I contacted Support and asked if I could work on it myself. They suggested I take it to Best Buy. I don't want to do that because 1. It would cost money; 2. I don't know how long I would have to be without a computer; 3. I'm not sure I trust GeekSquad.

 

I've removed desktop keyboard keys and replaced them without problems. However, these key caps are quite different, so I'm hesitant. Can I pry off my space bar without causing problems?

I see that you are facing keyboard-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

 

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?

 

Have you updated drivers on your system and checked if the issue persists? If not, please use the link below and update all the drivers: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
