Welcome to the HP Support Community!
This is a HP Smart Adapter Alert message. This message could be displayed for different reasons like:
- The adapter isn't receiving enough wattage (rated at 65W, needs at least 60W)
- The computer needs a BIOS update, etc.
Your computer will not be harmed with this message, it is just trying to explain that it may not perform as well under intensive circumstances.
To Update the BIOS on your PC, click here
Connect the Power cable directly to a wall outlet if you are using a surge protector.
Also, perform a Power reset on the PC, click here to know how.
Refer to this document to know more about Using and Testing the AC Power Adapter and about the Smart adapter notification.
If you see that the power adapter is working fine with no issues, do not want to upgrade it, and would like to stop the pop-up message, you can always uninstall the HP application by going to the control panel > add or remove programs.
Let me know how this goes.
