Hi, I wanted to check if I can remove the 16GB Intel Optane, installed into the M.2 Connector and replace it with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V7S500).

Yes but you need to disable Optane BEFORE to remove it. Please refer to the following post

Thank you for the response. I had one more doubt that, the service guide mentions "512-GB, PCIe, NVMe" and "256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe", so, if I install the Samsung's 500GB SSD, will that be compatible or do we need to put exact 512GB?
