"Choose the board that best fits your product issue, question or tip" drop down does not work.

Show all>printers>Samsung has no effect.

I love it when I have a technical problem, and the community site has problems of its own.

At any rate, when a print job is done my printer keeps humming. (?)

It used to go quiet after a few minutes. Not really sure what is running. Status lights normal. Have tried unplug, re-plug.

Thank you for sending this to the appropriate board.

Hi @Timesinki,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with noise while printing on your printer.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

B) Check if there are any foregin material inside the printer using a flash light and remove them if there is anything stuck.

C) If the issue still persists, there is an issue with the hardware and you will have to get it check locally to fix it.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

Thank you for your reply  Irwin 6.

I'm sorry, but I did not find the instructions very clear.

"Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges"

Was this a partial restatement of steps 1-5 or another round of unplug-replug, remove - insert?

The ML-2010 does not have a power button, so that is also a problem.

It has an ON-OFF power switch and a CANCEL button.

I tried the routine using the CANCEL button without result.

Any other ideas?

Hi @Timesinki,

I am sorry to hear that the above steps did not help much but i do appreciate your efforts in performing the troubleshooting steps.

If the issue persists even after turning your printer off and then on again after sometime.

If you did not find any foregin materials inside the printer.

There seems to be an issue with the hardware and you will have to get it checked locally to get it fixed.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
