Hello again.  I previously posted about this problem here, the thread is now closed:

I want to post a little more info.  The problem persists.

 

The firmware upgrade is supposed to fix these issues: https://support.hp.com/za-en/document/ish_8526612-8521023-16 

 

I am still on firmware HPS1NGXH.  I am supposed to be on firmware HPS3NGXH or HPS3NGXG to fix the issues listed at the link above.

 

The firmware upgrade file does not recognize my drive.  In addition to the info shown in the previous thread, there is this:

HP....please fix your installation file or advise how I can get this to work.

Try using the Samsung Magician software.

I am very familiar with Magician, but unfortunately, on many branded SSDs which come with laptops, it directs you to the laptop manufacturer website for firmware.  Such is the case with mine.

If all is working without issue, you would probably be better off leaving the firmware as it is.
