I’m based in France. I need a repair on my all-in-one HP computer and the support asks me to pay 100% of the invoice before any work start. Is that normal practice? I’m really scared and suspicious. I red there are numerous fakes and serious scams with HP support. Thanks a lot.

@Lasaygues, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like a suspicious situation, and your concerns are completely understandable. Typically, legitimate repair services should not require full payment upfront before any work is done.
I recommend that you always contact HP support directly through our official website: Contact Official HP® Support - India | HP® Support
Be cautious of third-party services or unsolicited contact offering repairs, as these can sometimes be scams.
To be safe, avoid making any payments or sharing personal information until you're certain that the support request is legitimate.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Many thanks Garp_Senchau for your reply. Actually, I contacted HP support through HP web site (the same you refer to in your post) and in France, HP support is fully outsourced to a company called « Best2serve » I do not know and which practices are to ask full payment before repair. Reason why I’m asking the community and looking for a double-check. This unfair practice surprised me indeed… And you confirm it. However, in France, I do not have alternative path. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Eric
