Pavilion 15-cw0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, this is a story. I was using my laptop downstairs when I closed the lid (closed perfectly fine, as it had thousands of times) as I had the intention of moving it upstairs. Once upstairs, I attempted to open the lid of the laptop with a sudden cracking noise and extreme resistance when opening the device. I managed to get it open, and I noticed that the bottom right bezel where the HP logo is printed had separation between the plastic and the screen. Glue was visible, and it was extremely hard to open/close the lid because of the plastic wedging between the gap in the screen and the bottom half of the laptop. This literally happened so suddenly, it went from closing perfectly fine to this. I've had this machine for about 2 - 3 years, never had any hardware issues (I did do a SSD swap). Never dropped, screen is not cracked, I used this laptop as my daily driver for school. Is there a way to fix this? *Edit: Forgot to mention the machine is not closable without absolutely ripping out the bezel of the screen.*

I attached a video where you can see the issues I am describing.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand that your laptop lid is not closing, it sounds like a hardware related issue with the Hinge assembly and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
