My laptop (HP15-AU111TX) has a damaged display. The current screen resolution is 1366x768. Is it possible to replace current display with an equivalenr FHD display 1980x1080. Kindly advise.

Actually yes. Here is the Manual:

See p. 19. That model series was offered with either a 1366 x 768 or 1920 x 1080 screen and the cable is the same so "all" you need to do is swap in an FHD display panel. 

 

15.6 FHD AG SVA 220eDP Slim PF 798933-009

The above is a matte display and yours is glossy but most people actually prefer the matte.
