As you can see in the picture above, my laptop's frame is coming out in the bottom right corner for no reason. My laptop is well taken care of, as it has never been dropped or anything. When I open the screen, it makes a sound now. I don't know what to do about this. Thank you

Hi @Sat006,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I’m really sorry to hear about the issue with your laptop’s screen frame ,I understand how concerning it must be, especially since you’ve taken good care of it. Let’s work together to figure this out.

Could you please share a bit more detail so we can narrow down the cause? For example:

  • The exact model of your HP laptop
  • When you first noticed the frame coming loose
  • Whether the screen hinge feels stiff or unusually tight when opening/closing
  • If the popping sound happens every time you open the lid or only occasionally.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!

The model is: Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb0008ca
I noticed the frame 2 months ago, but it was minimal; however, recently it has gotten worse because maybe the glue isn't in place anymore, due to the bump.
Every time I open my laptop, it makes a popping sound. It feels like something gets out of place only when opening it. While closing, the bump goes away or when the screen is almost closed. Today, when I opened it all the way back, the bottom of the frame also came off (attached a picture). It's getting worse just by opening my laptop. Please help

Hi @Sat006,

Thanks for your response.

I’m really sorry to hear about this, From what you’ve described, it sounds like the hinge or frame adhesive has loosened, which is why you’re hearing that popping sound and noticing the frame shifting when you open and close the lid.
