I recently purchased this computer, used. It's in very good shape, except that the screen keeps popping out of the top part of the frame. This model has no hinges. The keyboard is detachable, so the frame and screen remain intact in one piece. Frame is metallic, so there's no flex there. The screen is held in place by some plastic clips built into it, that snap into the frame. They're all intact.
I replaced the battery (old one was not bloated but not very healthy either. Installed an OEM new HP battery) and also installed a new 1Gb SSD. Screen lays flat on the frame, on all 4 sides.
There seems to be a small gap between the metallic frame and the screen, once in place. As far as I can tell the screen is original HP, judging by the codes and stickers on the back. And the frame is straight, no dents.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!
