HP ENVY TouchSmart 15t-j100 Quad Edition
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a HP Envy 15t-j100 Touchsmart notebook. I would like to replace the touch screen with a full hd LCD screen.

Is it possible ?
If possible does any know HP service center in Tokyo, where I can do the same.

Thank You

Nikhil

The plastic housing used on the touchscreen is different than the one used for non-touch so you cannot just replace the panel. You would need to do a hinges up screen replacement. The HP Service Center only fixes laptops to theior factory state so would not touch this project. If you are really interested we can find you the part and instructions.

Thank you for the update.

Yes, I would like to try the screen replacement.
Could you please find the parts and the instructions to replace the screen.

Are these parts available in Tokyo, Japan ?

I am not finding any source for the hinges up screen assembly. I can find the display panels all day long for not a terrible price. However, the Manual does not list the individual parts of the touchscreen assembly so very hard for me to tell what you can and can't reuse from your setup. As I said I believe the housing is different and the cable may be different, too.

Post back with any more questions and I will try to help further. I guess there is a chance I am wrong and you can just buy the FHD non-touch panel and install it in place of the touchscreen panel but that has not been my experience on laptops in general.
