Dear friends!

I have an HP Pavilion 15-n064sr laptop with a 15'6 LCD Monitor LGD039A (LP156WH3-EDC3) display with a resolution of 1366x768. Can I upgrade the screen to a resolution of 1920x1080? for example, by setting the LP156WF4-SLB5 matrix?
Both matrices have an LVDS interface, but LP156WF4 operates in dual-channel mode, and LGD039A in single-channel mode. If replacement is possible, do I need to replace the display panel cable ? Now I have a cable installed with the number HP 732066-001. Which cable needs to be replaced ?

In other topics about replacing matrices on HP Pavilion 15 laptops, there were recommendations for replacing the cable with the number 762544-001, but this cable has a different type of connector from the motherboard, and it does not fit my board.

My laptop has an Intel Core i3 processor, with a graphics processor supporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and in addition a discrete Radeon graphics card

The display cable I have looks like in the picture.s-l1600.jpg

Many times a particular model comes with several screen options in that model line. If that was the case, the Service Manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04439615.pdf  would show the different part numbers for different screens, But yours is listed with 2 screens, one with touch and one without. At first glance it would seem a higher res screen is not plug and play with your laptop.

For what reason? The GPU supports higher resolution. Do you mean that there are no pins for the second LVDS channel on the connector on the motherboard? Otherwise, then it will be all about the display cable.

Biggest reason is fit. How would you know which screen to buy if the model didn't offer a higher res screen?

Other models of the HP Pavilion 15 line were produced with monitors with a resolution of 1366x768 and with a resolution of 1920x1080. For example HP Pavilion 15-p. The upgrade consisted in installing a new matrix and replacing the display cable with a two-channel one.
