I've got a HP Pavilion 15-cs2064st. I'm trying to open the back cover to add more RAM. What screwdriver size(s) do I need? Thanks.

@SC1512 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to install the RAM.

Do not worry. I will try to help you in this regard.

The laptop back cover has 6 Phillips 2x5 screws.

Please refer to the following video on how to remove the laptop back cover.

@ Praveen196: Thanks for the reply.

How did you come up with 6 Phillip 2x5 screws? 3 screwing facing the laptop user. 2 screws under the rubber feet closer to the side of the lid hinges according to the youtube video you included.

What does 2x5 mean? If you can include a link to a screwdriver that fits the screw, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks.

The screw's size is 2 X 2.5mm. Please look for the image.

Please contact local store and purchase the screwdriver.

Have a nice day!!

@ Praveen196: What's the difference between 2x5 screws and 2x2.5mm screws? You gave me 2 sets of numbers. Not sure if they are the same. Thanks.

I understand your concerns.

In that case, I would suggest you contact our phone support and check for the option. Or you can contact local stores.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Have a nice day!!
