Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 2 rams 8gb & 2gb. The 2gb one is working on both the slots but 8gb one is not working in second slot.

I previously had 2x4gb sticks working great together for 2-3 yrs but since last week it start giving a blue screen.

checked all the rams are of same config

the 2x4gb one is even same company and same model.

The Elpida 2 gb module is 1.5 volt and the Kingston is 1.35 volt. The right memory for your laptop is DDR3L-1600 or 1.35 volt. Very possible you have one or more bad sticks of memory as they are quite old now. I would install them one at a time and run memory diagnostics on them. Also I would not mix 1.5 and 1.35 volt memory. You are showing us a 4 gig and a 2 gig module not sure what kind of 8 gig you are using.

i tried memory diagnostic…. the 4gb one is working on first slot and passed after installing in second slot laptop not booting up….kinda restarts after 1-2 second with black screen.

while the 2gb one is being passed in both the slots. it means the second slot is not bad…right??

sorry i dont have 8gb stick i was talking abt 2 4gb sticks of same manufacturer kingston.
