I am trying to find out IF my laptop has the option to add a second HDD and if so what all beside the harddrive to I need to purchase (cable, carriage, etc)

 

My Laptop is an hp x360 15-bl1xx

That number 15-bl1xx is a model series and we need to get to specifics so need the full exact model or product number.

15-bl112dx is the model. Specs say it is sold with a 512 gig PCIe/NVME M.2 SSD which is the fastest storage available for consumer computers. The Manual says it all:

 

Support for single M.2 solid-state drive configuration as storage in the following configurations

 

So the only storage it is designed to take is a single M.2 SSD and you already have that so sorry to report; no, there is no way to add an additional hard drive of any kind. You would have to replace the M.2 SSD you have with one of larger capacity.
