I was playing a video over HDMI port on a TV from my Laptop. Suddenly the screen was frozen. I hard reset the laptop (power button press). Then My laptop started showing blink code rather than boot screen. From the bilink code with the help of HP's Virtual assitent, I found the code shows memory problem. After debug, i found that the 8GB SODIMM in secondary slot developed a problem. So i removed it. With only 8GB at primary slot, my Laptop works well now. To upgrade the RAM, I brought a "HP 820570-005 A-Tech Equivalent 8GB DDR4 2133 PC4-17000 SODIMM Laptop Memory RAM" From Ebay. Now after instaling this add-on memory on my secondary slot, my laptop was still doing the 8GB memory in the primary slot. I tried swaping the memory in the slots. Still my laptop detects only the memory installed in the primary slot only.
1. Does this mean, the new memory i broght recently is not compatible with the current SODIMM memory came from the factory? (I read few articals that certain memory works only when installed in primary slots. Even in this case, the factory installed memory is not detected at the secondary slot). Any configuration / settings i have to do in the memory / Hardware board to make the memory detectable? Any BIOS settings to be done?
2. If not, Any potential Hardware problem with the secondary memory slot?
3. Is there any other possible debug and repair options availalble for me to try on my own?
4. Any suggestion from HP on buying the part number 820570-005 from them directly or give a try before ordering them online from HP?
Thank you.

Looks like new RAM is compatible but the second slot does not work with either RAM sticks. The RAM slot itself could be damages and worse case you have to replace System board. Is it still under warranty ?

Thank you for your feedback. My Laptop is out of Warrenty.
I am woundering, how the secondary slot stops working or create problem to the memory, when it was activily working?
Am i missing any critical factor to consider?
(Note : My laptop battory shown a warning message in my HP support assitent. I replaced the battory recently. Please see my other posting in the forum. I donot think, both has any connection.)

We need hardware tools to check the back bone of RAM slot 2. My suggestion: go to a good repairer and ask him/her to check this out for you.
Regards.
