HP Pavilion - 15-cs3006ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased an HP Pavilion - 15-cs3006ng in 2019 while I was in Germany, but I currently reside in Turkey. Over the past two years, I've encountered an issue where my touchpad buttons can't be pressed down, alongside unusual screen flickering that intensifies with touchpad use. A closer inspection revealed a swollen battery, which seems to be applying pressure on the touchpad buttons, making them unclickable. I reached out to HP support in Turkey for assistance, but was informed that they couldn't offer support for laptops purchased outside of Turkey. Despite my warranty being expired, I am concerned about the potential safety risks and am seeking advice on how to address this issue. Can anyone suggest whether a battery replacement is possible under these circumstances, or recommend any alternative solutions?

For safety reasons, it is best to discontinue use of the laptop until the battery is removed.

If you remove the battery you should still be able to use the laptop with the power adapter connected.

Removing the battery should also relieve the pressure on the upper enclosure with the keypad and touchpad.

I would purchase a new battery and replace it. I suggest purchasing a battery that is delivered with the screwdriver required for removing and replacing the base enclosure

Actually, I had researched the prices of HT03XL original batteries and when I saw they were a bit expensive, I wanted to ask if the swelling of the battery could be a manufacturing defect and if a free exchange might be possible, but as far as I understand, it seems not to be possible. Thank you for the information.
