Operating System: Ubuntu LTS

Hello, I am having problems to install Ubuntu in a new hard drive. 

When I run the hardware diagnostic I get this:

 

SMART Check: PASSED

Short DST: NOT AVAILABLE (1: NOT AVAILABLE)

 

Any ideas or suggestions?

I suggest that you go to the Ubuntu Forums: www.ubuntuforums.org.  They are the experts on Ubuntu.  I have used them with great success.
