I am currently using arch linux and I am getting many errors related to hard disk !!!

Earlier when i was using windows there too I  was getting the same type of errors 

I am using HP 15 NOTEBOOK PC currently with 1tb toshiba hard disk and 4gb ram but my system runs too slow doesn't matter how lightweight is the OS !!!

 

So I decided to run HP diagnostics test from UEFI there short dst failed !!! And I got a failure code and product I'd I am literally frustrated with this !!!

 

I hope someone here can help me

A DST test is a read test to check the integrity of sectors on the hard drive. If the test generates a failure code, that means some sectors are corrupted and no longer hold the data. 

 

You need to replace the hard drive. You can replace the current 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA SSD which is faster than an HDD. You need something like this.
