Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa1000 (8B483AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hey everyone, I have an HP Victus (i5 12th Gen, 4GB GPU, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD), and I mostly use it for studying and general tasks (no heavy gaming). I usually keep it plugged in while using it, but I want to know if this is good for battery health in the long run. Should I charge it and then use it or, directly use it plugged in like a desktop?

Should I keep it plugged in all the time, or is it better to unplug it sometimes?

Would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks!

Ritesh

Hi @AryaRitesh

You can use connected to the AC charger, but my suggestion is the following, you must charge the laptop to 100% off, then turn on the laptop and you can use it all day there is a mechanism that cuts the current flow to the battery. Now it is not convenient to always use it that way, you should at least two times a week use the battery a little, the cells need to discharge and charge to keep in good condition.
