Welcome to the HP Community --

There are dozens of models of Pavilion systems.

I am not aware that the Pavilion supports Mobile Broadband -- you can certainly check.

Find your model and check where included components are located.

Ports that are visible from the outside of the computer can be found in the user manual.

and / or

Ports that are visible from the outside AND those parts located inside the case are found in the service manual.

Search the manual where the SIM card is mentioned for details on its use.

For those reading

SIM card slots are not always on the outside of the system.

Some computers, for example, Zbook workstations, might locate the SIM card slot inside the case.

Open

 HP Product Home

Enter the device type and model name of your HP product

Open Category Setup & User Guides

Find and open the User Guide and the Maintenance and Service Guide (name of document varies).

The information about installed and optional components is usually available in the first chapter.

For example, look the "Left" and / or "Right" to start.

You can also search the document for the word "sim "

Reminders

  • Not all systems support Mobile Broadband.
  • Where included, some systems locate the SIM card slot inside the case.
  • The SIM card is useless by itself.
  • The system must also have installed (inside the case) the WWAN broadband module.
  • The WWAN module, if available for the series, is an expensive and optional addition.
