I have a new laptop that I'm trying to connect to my existing Dell WD19 180W docking station that I use with my work laptop. I can connect my wife's Lenovo laptop without any issues, but when connecting the HP laptop the maximum CPU setting drops to 15% and won't go above that, leaving the laptop immensely sluggish and unusable. It does display correctly on the two monitors connected to the dock, though. I have done all the Windows Updates available and installed the latest HP BIOS but none of that has helped. At one point after some fiddling around several nights ago and rebooting several times it seemed to work normally, but today it's back to crawling every time I connect the dock. As soon as I disconnect, the CPU performance returns to normal. Looking for suggestions for anything I can try to get around this issue. Thanks!

Your HP machine and the Dell dock ARE NOT compatible. Please do not put them together, they do more ham than good.

Regards.
