Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

After battery change, not original, notebook is on third of its performance when on battery than when on AC. Everything, mainly graphic issues takes ages, scrolling through windows using Alt+tab, scrolling through browser tabs, google maps zooming and moving, when typing after hitting windows button, letters written in the first second are lost, calendar shows up two seconds after clicking on it, when there's too much dark places on screen, the brightness and contrast goes down. None of that happens when on AC. Will anybody help me out, please? Edit: Autobrightness not in options, power setting always on high perf.

Poor quality of a replacement battery, it's always recommended to go for an original for best performance.  You saved $$ on a cheap battery but the results you get are not as close as you would have with an original battery.

OK, may be, but why does ntb change its performance according to label on the battery? It has the same capacity, the same voltage, the same dimensions and weight. So how do I turn off this originality assessment, provided this is not planned obsolence by HP saying you have to buy our stuff otherwise your stuff will run slowly? Btw, that autobrigtness and autocontrast started already with the original battery and it's driving me crazy.
Edit: according to HP support assistant, the battery is on 100% capacity, perfect condition, bought 02/22

Then it's not the battery.

It is the battery, because the performance problems started right after replacement.

There is a valid reason why original batteries cost more than replacement ones, don't trust everything that is on a replacement battery label. The battery is a very complex part combined with battery cells and electronics, the battery capacity means nothing if the battery electronics can provide power from cells to a device.

It's not likely to expect that a replacement battery will have the same performance as an original. Maybe you got unlucky, maybe you received a defective replacement battery, that happens too more than you think.
