Haven't found any similar topics but I have a weird issue.
At work I use G8 Zbook fury notebook with G4 280w thunderbolt dock.
The problem occurs when I unplug the dock and take the notebook and do some presenting in meeting rooms or whatever.
Performance on battery is laggy (random lag in every app every 5-10 sec), and everything is really slow. Like file explorer browsing is on par with the slowest machines I've worked on 20 years ago. Power settings are all defaulted and does not change at all if I change the to favor performance.
If I boot at home without the dock and unplug from the adapter everything performs as expected.
All the drivers and bios updated are done trough HP support app and all is up to date at the moment.
Windows 10 corp edition with all the current updates. Company support has no idea but this is an issue with all the zbooks we own.
This has been an issue since I got the Zbook 2 years ago.
Can someone help explain this.

"If I boot at home without the dock and unplug from the adapter everything performs as expected."
That means it is likely there is something that your company IT department has done that happens only when connected to the company network.

Your Connection to the company network by use of a remote connection at home is not the same thing as accessing the company network at your job site.
Just so you know, Zscaler is not a VPN connection. It is a cloud, native proxy architecture that provides a secure connection.
That is quite clear when you have stated that at home there is no issue.
You are going to have to talk to your company IT staff about the issue. It is their responsibility to know about and resolve all user issues. Issues with latency are going to take some network analysis by IT staff. They have the tools and knowledge to do that for you.
