Hello.
I bought used 840 G3 notebook some weeks ago. For maximum performance I installed Samsung P991 NVMe M.2. At the beginning it worked fine with read and write speeds at 2000MB/s and 1500MB/s. But after some weeks it's working much slower. Especially the write speed is bad. After reinstall of Windows it was fine again but now the same as before. Only 58GB of 256GB are used. No special software installed. Only MS Office, Chrome and so on.
Maybe Windows update or something like that has any influence? I don't know. Does anybody have an idea? Thanks.

Yesterday I installed a complete backup of Windows with clonezilla. Afterwards the speed was fine. But today the write speed is already slow again. Windows installed some Updates and I installed Sloeber IDE (Eclipse) directly on C:. That's all.

It is likely that there is some hardware or firmware configuration in the Samsung SSD that your laptop's BIOS or system board is not compatible with.
