I recently reinstalled windows 10 on my pc and soon after it i encountered this issue. When i next time booted it an error displayed saying smart hard disk error and back up your data to perform disk check. So i did the same but during disk check it stopped at 9% with an id "OUSN28-8B49JQ-XD7X7F-6OT7O3"(i don't know if "O" was zero or english alphabet"O"). One more problem that i am facing is that the read and write speed of disk is very low (in kb/s barely reaches mb/s) and most of the time disk usage is 100% and booting takes forever.

You're very welcome.
Absolutely you can.
I don't know if you have a particular brand in mind, but I use this one in 2 of my HP notebooks. It is economical and works great.
Comes in different storage capacities to fit your needs and budget.

Hi:
The error code reported, Failed, doesn't tell us much, but 99% of the time you get one of those codes, you need to replace the hard drive.
If you can still get into Windows, back up any files you want to save onto a portable hard drive.
Then replace the HDD.
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook. The HDD R & R procedure can be found in chapter 6.

After you replace the hard drive, you can reinstall W10 for free as follows...
You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...
Select Download tool now, and select Run.
If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.
Select which media you want to use:
USB flash drive. Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.
Then you can reinstall the drivers and available software from the PC's support page.
