Mij laptop shows me the 'SMART Hard disk Error (301)' message at startup for some time now.
Although it is till under warranty I bought a new Intel series 6 M.2 256 GB SSD as a replacement.
When I install this Intel SSD it isn't recognised bij the system. It tells me there is no hard disk present.
What could be the problem here?

Your laptop takes a SATA type M.2 drive and the Intel Series 6 is an NVME/PCIe type M.2. The drive you have installed is simply not compatible with the laptop.
Post back if you need some help finding a drive that will work.
