I received my HP Notebook - 15-db0015dx laptop whiles everything was perfect, but after using it for 3 months (whiles the PC never dropped even once), I see an error code with the message, smart hard disk has detected an imminent failure. Any help from you guys will be much appreciated. thank you

Hi @00Abk__b
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with a nearly new notebook. That is not the norm.
I suggest using the HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
From a powered off state, press the power button and then immediately tap the F2 key to invoke the utility.
Click on component tests and choose hard disk.
Let us know if there is an error code reported by the Diagnostic utility. It would be a good plan to take a digital photo of the error message and post it in your thread.
The hard disk is covered by the free one year factory warranty, in case there actually is a failure mode error.

That error code translates to an error 303 quick test hard drive failure.
You will need to contact HP to initiate a warranty claim for the hard disk replacement.
I can ask a Moderator to assist you with help in getting in touch with the team at HP who can offer warranty support for your notebook. Where did you purchase the notebook?

Well sir, that is another problem for me, I do not really know where exactly in US it was purchased. And even if I did, I am not sure the warrant will still be applicable to me due to the fact that I am in Ghana, Africa... A relative of mine who lives in America bought it, n gave it to me when he came to Ghana for his vacation.....

If I were you, I would contact an HP Service Center in Ghana and ask them if the warranty still applies even when it was purchased in the US.
If not,it is a matter of replacing the hard drive and using the owner created HP Cloud recovery USB flash drive to restore the OS to the new hard disk.
