Welcome to the HP Community --
Could be a number of things - what you do next depends on what you have already tried.
For example,
Test the hardware at the component level.
Be sure to include the tests for the keyboard and the battery.
HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures | HP® Customer Support
- Using HP Hardware Diagnostics
Consider that a swollen battery can cause the keyboard to stop working, especially when the failed keys are lined up with where the battery is located inside the case.
What if?
If the component level tests, including those tests for the keyboard and battery, do not reveal an issue, open the case and look.
If the battery is inflated, misshapen, or swollen, it must be removed and replaced.
There is NO other solution for a inflated, misshapen, or swollen battery.
What else?
Check your Warranty at your product home website.
If the system is still "in Warranty",
Submit a case request to HP Support.

Reminders - READ
Case submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.
Some regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online
Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty. Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.
HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.
If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.
Important
HP Phone numbers you find on the Internet have likely been hijacked. Old HP phone numbers – those numbers no longer used by HP since the move to “online” case submissions – might have been taken over by thieves.
Do not be a victim.
Stay vigilant.
