Hi @Kanyita
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the left part of your laptop keyboard isn't working, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve keyboard issues.
Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the keyboard for any visible damage or debris that might be affecting the keys.
External Keyboard Test: Connect an external USB keyboard to see if it works. If it does, the issue is likely with the laptop's built-in keyboard.
Update Keyboard Drivers: Go to Device Manager, find the keyboard section, and update the drivers.
Check Keyboard Settings: Make sure the keyboard layout settings haven't changed. You can find this in your system settings.
Run a Hardware Diagnostic: Many laptops come with built-in diagnostic tools. Check if your laptop has one and run it to see if it detects any issues.
Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes, third-party software can cause keyboard issues. Boot your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the problem persists.
Clean the Keyboard: If you're comfortable, you can try cleaning under the affected keys. Make sure to turn off the laptop and disconnect it from power first.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
