Au 112tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The keys '8','i','k' and ',' are not working(sometimes they work when i continuously press them for 10-15 times). I tried updating keyboard driver and bios, still no luck. But the keys work fine in the hp hardware diagnostic tool. Any solutions to this problem.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

In Windows, search for and open Device Manager. Click View, and then select Show hidden devices. Click the arrow next to keyboards, right-click the keyboard name, and then click Uninstall to remove the device from Windows. Remove all devices in the Keyboards category, and then restart the computer and check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Let's test the Keyboard by Running hardware diagnostics test.

Use the following steps to open the Component Tests menu.

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. On the main menu, click Component Tests.
  4. The Component Tests menu displays. Your Component Tests menu might be different, depending on the components installed on your computer.
  5. To run both tests simultaneously, in the Component Tests menu, click Keyboard, and then click Run once

Keyboard test: Click Run once. The Battery Test begins.
Keep me posted for further assistance.
