@JairamIyer No, it's not at all common, that said, is it coming off due to any accidents you've had lately with the laptop, or due to wear and tear?
And how long has it been since you've purchased the device? is it under the 1yr factory warranty?

No, no ‘accidents’ at all. I don’t travel or commute. WFH. It is on all day, so I suspect it is heating. The motherboard doesn't look warped. Probably the plastic for this batch isn’t up to scratch? I bought it in May 2017, and I think it is a bit early to replace!

@JairamIyer Since the product is out of warranty, If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,
