Hi I want to buy this laptop but in Mexico there is only one configuration available, i5, 4GB RAM and 256MB SSD, I really like it but I need at least 8GB RAM, does anybody know if it can be upgraded?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
What is the model/product of your machine ? The following link shows one model/product and for RAM, it is un upgradable (on board):

Hi,
No, you have to replace the motherboard. Here is its specs:
http://support.hp.com/de-de/document/c04604341
Which clearly says:
On-board 4GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
Regards.

I apologise for bumping this thread. I wasn't sure if it was best to do that or create a new one.
I have a similar query about some slightly different models:
HP Pavilion x360 13-s003na Convertible Laptop
HP Pavilion x360 13-s008na Convertible Laptop
HP Pavilion x360 13-s052sa 13.3" 2 in 1 - Silver
I have tried to find the info myself but as there are many variations I'm not sure if I'm seeing the right info.
As well as the RAM are the SSDs upgradable?
Many thanks
Chris

Sorry to bump, but I have now found this document:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04642238
This is the maintenance and service guide for:
"HP Pavilion x360 Convertible PC (model numbers: 13-s000 through 13-s099)"
Those model numbers appear to cover all of the models in my previous post. If I am reading correctly, the HDD and RAM should both be replaceable fairly easy.
Just to note: I am comfortable upgrading hardware and the impact this could have on the hardware warranty. My main concern is identifying that it can be upgraded in the future and I won't be stuck with what are slightly sub-par specs.
Many thanks 🙂

Hi,
It is SPECTRE 13-4030LA, can it be upgraded ?
http://www.scglobal.cl/pdf_fichas/4030la.pdf ->
Memoria • 4 GB 1600 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM incorporada (on-board)
Ranuras de memoria (memory slot) • 2
http://support.hp.com/ar-es/document/c04615848 -> SDRAM LPDDR3 integrada de 4GB a 1600 MHz (On-Board)
the first link says that it can be upgraded, second one says that it can not be upgraded, anyone know which one says the truth?
sorry for bad english.
Thanks

I trust what Crucial says. If the RAM is upgradable they will specify it. In this case they state that it is not upgradable:
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-spectre-x360-13-4103dx
The Spectre x360 15t is upgradable and awesome. Most Envy's are as well.
