The back of my computer is bulging. For what other sonsumers wrote it might be a bulging of the battery.

I never opened the notebook.

Hi,

What is the exact model number or product number of the notebook

HP Notebook PCs - How Do I Find My Product Name or Number? | HP® Customer Support

The swelling of the battery is an actual security feature of the battery.

Is the notebook still under warranty?

You should have the battery removed before it causes further damage to the notebook. Either take to a repair shop or if you want a guide, let us know the model number.

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you for your answer David,

This are the specifications of my notebook in my Amazon's order:

The SN is 5CD842B645 as wrote before.
I am not satisfied with your answer.
Thsi is an expensive notebbok, it costed more than $1700 at the end of 2018.
If the battery stops working, what I personatly consider premature at this point, can be arguable. It is not acceptable that it destoys the computers ensamble.
I think this is a factory's deffect and you should take responsability of it at any time-point.
As wrote before, this is not a 500-700 notebook and this kind of deffect is unacceptable.
Hope you can replace it or propose an acceptable solution.

OK.

I actually do not work for HP. Just helping out other Members with HP products as I use them and like them.

So i can only tell you what I would do at the moment to prevent any further problems (damage) and then you can follow the paths to connect directly to HP support. I can also flag the post and see if anyone intervenes.

So, in the meantime I would have the battey removed or remove the battery.

On page 31 of service manual you can see the steps to remove/replace the battery

Hi,

Thank you again for your answer but I want to make a formal complain to HP, and actually I cannot find any different way than this place.

Can you help me, please.

No one from HP got in touch with me up to now.

Is there any email to send a request?

Regards,

Daniel
