Product: HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f2000 (74R52AV)

I just bought a new Hp Spectre x360 partially for it's advertised 17 hour battery life of mixed use. When I brought it home and set it up (installed all updates and several restarts) it is only lasting around 6 hour of mixed use (surfing the web and writing papers). Do I have a faulty battery, was I wrong in thinking mixed use implies web surfing and simple applications like word or do I have a faulty battery? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
