I cannot locate an authentic HP replacement part for laptop battery. It no longer holds a charge, has to be plugged into charger at all times. It is a KB06XL rechargeable battery, HP Part # 902401-2C1, has 'Replace with HP Spare 902499-855'.

I've found multiple 3rd party batteries through Amazon and New Egg, but all have bad reviews. Would rather pay a little more for a relaibale brand/ battery that will work and not kill the laptop.

Thanks

The reality that I see is that the batteries for your notebook are seriously inexpensive and only ensuring that you choose one that comes with a one year warranty is key.

HP does not manufacture the batteries. The batteries that have the HP logo are just units that have HP's specification and are licensed to have the HP logo.

The battery at the hyperlink below is at Amazon and does have a one year warranty.
