HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am considering an SSD upgrade as the original disk capacity is  bit limited, and since I need to replace the keyboard it seems like the ideal time to also take care of the drive.
There are other threads about the drive replacement so I believe I have the information concerning the type of drive to buy.
However, there is one aspect of the procedure which I haven't seen anyone talk about, which is how to transfer my data and OS to the new drive.

If the drive format were standard 2.5 drive, I could just use one of my connector cables to mirror the partition content, but I have never had to deal with these models before. So I'm curious to know how I should do it.

Must I buy the correct connector cable to plug the new drive and mirror the partition first before installing it? Or is there another way to proceed?

Any advice is most welcome thank you.
