HP Recommended

Yesterday my laptop suddenly stopped holding charge whilst it was on charge. Slowly the powered drained, before it died. Now it won't turn on, even when plugged in. 

 

I have unplugged the battery, waited, and plugged it back in - but this has not helped. Last month I had this exact same problem, which was solved by doing this. 

 

I have no idea what has gone wrong, could it be that I require a new battery?
